If The Ineffectuals magnum opus, "School" makes a convincing case for the title. Stretching beyond ten minutes, the song unfolds as a multi-part progressive rock suite that refuses to sit still for more than a few minutes at a time. Crusihng grunge-inspired guitars collide with labyrinthine time changes, atmospheric interludes, and soaring instrumental passages, creatin something that feels as indebted to The Wall as it is to modern progressive rock and metal.

The classroom serves as the opening act for a much broader examination of authority, conformity, psychological collapse, and the institutions that shape - and sometimes break - the people who pass through them. The narrative spirals from oppressive hallways into dissaciation, self examination, therapy, institutional restraint, isolation, and finally the possibility of escape. It's an intentionally uncomfortable journey that never offers easy villains or tidy conclusions.

In true Ineffectuals fashion, the song is both wildly over-the-top and surprisingly sincere: equal parts rock opera, psychological drama, and progressive guitar odyssey. It's the kind of song that probably shouldn't exist in an era of shrinking attention spans - which is precisely why it does.
